This privacy policy applies to the Fables app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by D Iris Dev Studios (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device
• Your device's advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to deliver and measure ads (subject to your tracking permission on iOS)

The Application does not gather precise GPS location. With your permission, it may access your approximate (coarse) location to detect your country or region and suggest nearby places in the Touring section. You can decline or revoke this in your device settings.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your email address, display name, and user ID.

Guest mode. You can use the Application as a guest without creating an account. In guest mode we do not collect your email, name, or profile, and the titles and notes you create are stored only on your device. We assign a temporary anonymous identifier so the app and its anti-abuse limits work. You can convert a guest session into a full account at any time, which preserves the data already on your device.

Most data transmitted to external services for product improvement is aggregated and anonymized. To show ads, however, Google AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) to deliver and measure personalized advertising. On iOS you can disable this through the App Tracking Transparency prompt; without permission you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant. The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy:

• Google Play Services
• AdMob
• Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymous app usage and screen view metrics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics; includes minimal app state such as the current screen, the user's selected theme, and the subscription tier so crash reports are actionable)
• Firebase Performance Monitoring (aggregate app start time, screen render time, and network request latency)
• Firebase Remote Config (feature flags and tunable values fetched periodically; no user data is sent to this service)
• Firebase App Check (anti-abuse attestation via Play Integrity on Android and App Attest on iOS so server-side keys cannot be spent by scripts)
• Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging (account, data, file, server logic, and push notification delivery)
• RevenueCat (subscription state for Fables+)

When you search for titles, places, or events inside the Application, your search query is sent to Cloud Functions hosted by the Service Provider. The Cloud Functions then forward the query to third-party content catalogs to fetch results. Your search query is the only information sent. No identifying information about you (such as your name or account id) is forwarded to these third parties:

• TMDB (movies and series catalog)
• AniList (anime and manga catalog)
• RAWG (games catalog)
• Google Books (books catalog)
• Google Maps Platform (geocoding and places search for the Touring category)
• Ticketmaster (special events lookup)

The Service Provider does not retain the content of your individual search queries. Aggregated daily request counts are stored to monitor service health and cost. Individual queries are not associated with your account.

Some features in the Application use Google Gemini, a third-party AI service, which is called from our Cloud Functions on the server side. The "What's Next" recommendation feature sends the list of titles you already track and your stated preferences (such as preferred categories) to Gemini so it can suggest existing catalog titles you may enjoy. Title trivia sends only the name of the title you are viewing. In both cases the information is used solely to generate the response, and your name, email address, and account id are never sent.

These features provide recommendations and informational text only. There is no chatbot, there are no free-text prompts, and the Application does not generate open-ended or unrestricted content. AI suggestions may occasionally be inaccurate and are not a substitute for your own judgment.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.

The Service Provider retains User Provided data for as long as you use the Application. When you delete your account (see Account Deletion below), all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 24 hours. You can also request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@tryfables.com.

If you use the Application as a guest (without an account), your data stays on your device. We hold only a temporary anonymous identifier and minimal server-side usage counters; guest accounts and that minimal data are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity, and you can remove all guest data at any time by uninstalling the Application.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you discover that a child has provided personal information, please contact privacy@tryfables.com immediately.

The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information it processes and maintains.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page. Continued use of the Application is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

How to delete your Fables account and data:

• In-app (recommended): Open Fables → Settings → scroll to Danger Zone → tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm your password. Local app data on your device is wiped immediately. All personal data stored on our servers is then automatically and permanently removed within 24 hours via a server-side cascade, with no further action needed from you.
• By email: If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to privacy@tryfables.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 7 days.

What gets deleted:

• Your Firebase Authentication account (email, login credentials)
• Your profile (display name, profile photo, content-policy acceptance)
• Your titles, journal entries, chapters, notes, and ratings
• Your activity feed posts and all comments under them
• Comments, likes, and saves you placed on other users' posts
• Your friend connections (removed from both sides) and any pending friend requests
• Your chat conversations and the messages you sent in them
• Groups you owned (deleted) or were a member of (removed from membership)
• Notifications referencing you in other users' inboxes
• Your profile image in cloud storage
• All locally stored app data on your device

What may be retained: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for service improvement purposes. Crash diagnostics submitted to Firebase Crashlytics are subject to Google's own retention policy.
